| S&P 500 EBI Portfolio - Averaged 19% Since 2003!! | ||||
Downloading Data FilesBenchmark Investing now offers the data for downloading as CSV (comma separated values) files. The data comes in three files. The Dow 30, the S&P 100 * and the S&P 500 *. The Dow 30 file is available for free and the S&P 100 and S&P 500 files are available only to subscribers. Just click on the link here and you should be able to save the file to disk and then open it with Excel. Internet Explorer saves the file with the correct ".csv" extension. Netscape saves it with ".csv" but also adds ".asp" after the csv extension. The ".asp" part needs to be deleted prior to saving the CSV file. The file will still need to be saved as an Excel Workbook after opening with Excel. The following files are only available on the subscriber area when subscribing to either the S&P 500 Annual or S&P 500 6 Month subscription. * The S&P 500 and S&P 100 are trademarks of Standard and Poor's.
